  Dr. Schwarz grew up in Idaho Falls, Idaho. He attended Washington University in St. Louis where he received a bachelors of arts in Biology and English. He studied medicine and The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, and then remained at Johns Hopkins for his internship in general surgery and residency in neurosurgery. After completing residency training, Dr. Schwarz spent one year as an instructor of neurosurgery at Johns Hopkins during which he obtained advanced specialty training in neuro-oncology and complex spine procedures. He currently practices general neurosurgery at Centennial Medical Center in Nashville, TN.
